Catherine Higel, Mitglied des Trinationalen Graduierten Kollegs FISA MIAG, hat Herbst 2014 einen französischen Doktoranden-Arbeitsvertrag erworben („Coopération internationale“).

Sie arbeitet an einer Dissertation zum Thema  „Villes circulaires et logement de la population urbaine en Syrie du nord-est au Bronze ancien. Le quartier d’habitation des Häuser de Tell Khuera“ (Betreuer: Philippe Quenet, Strassburg). Sie ist Mitglied des UMR 7044-Archimède in Straßburg.
