Isabelle Mossong wurde im September 2012 als ausländisches Mitglied in der Ecole française de Rome (Section Antiquité) aufgenommen. Die Öffnungspolitik der EFR hat es Isablle Mossong ermöglicht als die erste Luxemburgerin in die EFR integriert zu werden.

Ihre Dissertation « die Selbstdarstellung des christlichen Klerus im Spiegel lateinischer Inschriften in der Spätantike » wird betreut durch Prof. Dr. Hans-Joachim Gehrke (FU Berlin) und Prof. Dr. Eckhard Wirbelauer (Université de Strasbourg ).

Isabelle Mossong wird zwei Jahre in Rom verbringen um sich ihrem neuen Forschungsprojekt zur Frequentierung christlicher Orte in Rom zu widmen, das direkt an die Dissertation anschließt und den Titel « La fréquentation des lieux chrétiens – Le tissu (sub-)urbain ecclésiastique à Rome de l’Antiquité tardive au haut Moyen Âge » trägt.

Isabelle Mossongs Aufenthalt in Rom wird ihren wissenschaftlichen Werdegang noch internationaler gestalten und ist eine Bereicherung für unser Kolleg.
